  7. INTRODUCTION
  8.  
  9.  ErrorLog is a package for monitoring device activity (currently disks and
  10. networks) on classic AmigaOS systems.
  11.  It requires AmigaOS 2.04 or higher as well as sysmon.library version 1 or
  12. higher (available on Aminet as util/moni/Sysmon117.lha or from
  13. http://mesopk.obspm.fr/vogt/amigasoft.html).

  15. Some of the features provided by ErrorLog are :
  16.  
  17.  - Monitoring of the activity of disk and network devices.
  18.  - Logging of device and other system errors (alerts) to disk in binary
  19.    format, translated by a provided command line utility.

  21.  ErrorLog has been developped and tested on the following configurations :

  23.  - A4000T 68060 AGA, 2 Mb Chip 72 Mb Fast, OS 3.9
  24.    1 Gb SCSI HD + 9.5 Gb IDE HD
  25.  - A500 68000 ECS, 1 Mb Chip 1.5 Mb Slow 2 Mb Fast , OS 3.1
  26.    20 Mb IDE-XT + 50 Mb SCSI + 115 Mb SCSI HDs
  27.  - A4000 68040 AGA + CV64/3D (CGfx 3), 2 Mb Chip 16 Mb Fast , OS 3.9
  28.    250 Mb IDE + 1 Gb SCSI + 512 Mb SCSI + 4 Gb SCSI HDs

  34.  This software is intended for experienced users. In particular, there
  35. are no GUI tools available yet; so if you are a mouse-maniac user that
  36. don't like typing Shell commands or editing ASCII configuration files,
  37. I'm afraid that this software is not for you ;-) .
